In January, the desert city of Bikaner gathers to celebrate one of Rajasthan’s oldest and most enduring companions. Beneath wide desert skies, decorated camels, musicians, artisans, and local communities come together for a festival that honours the traditions of life in the Thar.

Experience Highlights

• Witness the vibrant parades, camel races, music, and performances of the Bikaner Camel Festival
• Explore the historic desert city of Bikaner and the illuminated halls of Junagarh Fort
• Journey through the Thar Desert with visits to Osian’s ancient temples and stepwells
• Wander Jodhpur’s blue lanes, markets, and artisan traditions
• Experience Jaipur through sunrise rituals, textile workshops, and sunset views from Nahargarh Fort

Our journey moves through Rajasthan’s desert landscapes and historic cities including Delhi, Bikaner, Jodhpur, and Jaipur. Along the way we explore royal forts, quiet temples, bustling bazaars, and the enduring traditions that shape daily life across the region.

From the festival grounds of Bikaner to the blue streets of Jodhpur and the rose coloured avenues of Jaipur, each place reveals a different rhythm of Rajasthan. We meet local artisans, share traditional meals, and step inside crafts and customs that have been passed through generations.

Beyond the celebration itself, the journey offers moments of stillness as well. Desert sunsets, temple rituals at dawn, and evenings on rooftop terraces allow the atmosphere of each place to unfold naturally.

It is a journey through colour, culture, and desert heritage where Rajasthan’s stories are experienced slowly and with intention.

Limited to just 12 travellers to keep the experience intimate.

This journey moves through Rajasthan’s desert landscapes and historic cities, beginning in Delhi before travelling into the heart of the Thar Desert for the Bikaner Camel Festival. Here, traditions unfold through parades, performances, and gatherings that celebrate one of Rajasthan’s oldest cultural connections.

As the journey continues, we move through Jodhpur and Jaipur, where forts, temples, and artisan traditions reveal the region’s depth and diversity. The pace balances vibrant cultural moments with quieter experiences, allowing space to take in both the energy and the atmosphere of each place.

Our itinerary is designed around the timing of the Bikaner Camel Festival and the seasonal rhythm of Rajasthan. As with all cultural events, timings may adjust slightly to honour local traditions and ensure each experience remains authentic and immersive.
